“世界一貧しい大統領”ムヒカ氏の生涯をパルムドール賞最多受賞の巨匠が映画化！

ムヒカ大統領といえば、2009年11月ウルグアイ大統領選挙に当選し、2010年3月1日より同国の第40代大統領で、来年任期満了により退任が決まっている。

最も有名な事柄は、なんといっても『リオ＋２０会議』のスピーチでしょう。

ムヒカ氏の、衝撃のエピソード

彼は、「給料の9割を慈善団体に寄付」「大統領なのに農場で質素に暮らす」「ヒッチハイクの人を自分の車に拾って乗せちゃう」等々、数々のエピソードがありますが、中でも心に残っているのは、
彼はその資産の80%を寄付し、個人資産は約18万円相当の1987年型フォルクスワーゲン・ビートルのみで、郊外の質素な住宅に暮らしている中で、ある時、その愛車を100万ドル（約1億1,600万円）で売却を打診された事があるのですが、愛車は手放しませんでした。

その理由はというと、ムヒカ氏は、車は友人たちからの贈り物で「売れば友人たちを傷つけることになる」とした上で「私が生きている限り（車は）車庫で眠り、時々散歩に出かけることになる」と地元ラジオで述べました。

エミール・クストリッツァが映画化

既に、『Ultimo Heroe（最後のヒーロー）』の撮影に入っている。
