ＮＨＫ「第６６回紅白歌合戦」星野源 初出場！事務所の先輩・福山雅治に重なるマルチな３４歳
大みそかのＮＨＫ「第６６回紅白歌合戦」に、シンガー・ソングライターで俳優の星野源（３４）が初出場することが内定した。音楽や演技だけでなく、執筆活動もこなすなどマルチな才能を発揮。所属事務所先輩の福山雅治（４６）と重なる魅力で、人気を集めている。
雑誌連載など執筆活動も行う星野は、日常の些細（ささい）なことを飾らない歌詞で表現することが得意。それを親しみやすいメロディーに乗せた楽曲で、若い女性を中心に支持を広げている。レコード会社関係者は「素朴ながら力強さを感じる声と、耳になじみやすいメロディーが特徴。幅広い世代に受け入れられそうなことや、音楽性の高さをＮＨＫが評価したようだ」と話している。
最近では、人気シンガーソングライター、aiko（39）のニューシングル「プラマイ」のミュージックビデオで、ファンたちの脳裏に巡った「元カレ」騒動でもお馴染みの彼だ。
マルチな才能を発揮
大手芸能事務所「アミューズ」に歌手として所属。その幅広い活躍ぶりは、先輩の福山と重なる。俳優として、１３年の毎日映画コンクールのスポニチグランプリ新人賞を獲得。ドラマ出演も多数あるほか、ＮＨＫのコント番組「ＬＩＦＥ！～人生に捧（ささ）げるコント～」では笑いのセンスを発揮している。
音楽活動では、５月発売のシングル「ＳＵＮ」がオリコンチャート２位を記録し、配 信チャートでも軒並み１位を獲得。８月には東京・日本武道館で２日間公演を成功させた。昨今の白組はグループ勢の活躍が目立つが、ソロの星野が新たな風を吹かせてくれそうだ。
一時は活動休止も
整った顔立ちでありながら、気取らない人柄も人気。１２年と１３年にくも膜下出血の治療のため活動を休止したが、それをコンサートや著書で明るくネタにするポテンシャルの高さも兼ね備え、その後の初主演作映画「箱入り息子の恋」では、３５歳で初めて恋に落ちる物静かな公務員役を演じる。恋の力で力強く成長する姿が描かれている。星野が、最も印象に残る場面には、恋人の父役の大杉漣（６２）と全裸で対峙（たいじ）するクライマックスを挙げた。「マグマが爆発した場面。でも静かに見える場面もマグマを意識していた」と内面を表す演技に気を配っていた。
NHKへの貢献度の高さ
ＮＨＫへの貢献度も高い。「ＬＩＦＥ！」のほか、今年３月には紅白歌合戦の前身とされる「紅白音楽試合」の誕生秘話をドラマ化した「紅白が生まれた日」にも出演。出場歌手と司会者は２６日に同局から正式発表される。
◆星野 源（ほしの・げん）１９８１年（昭５６）１月２８日、埼玉県生まれ。中１から演劇、音楽活動を始め、００年にバンド「ＳＡＫＥＲＯＣＫ」を結成。０３年に劇団「大人計画」に所属。０４年に「６９ ｓｉｘｔｙ ｎｉｎｅ」で映画デビュー。１０年にアルバム「ばかのうた」でメジャーデビューした。
