罵りや暴力、妻から夫への「DV」が話題――それでも「90％以上は女性」
離婚をする原因は色々とありますが、夫の暴力が原因で、離婚を決意する女性もいます。
しかし近年、妻の暴力・ＤＶが原因で、夫がうつ病になったり、離婚を決意したり、最悪の場合、死亡事件まで発生するといった事態が起きています。
DVの定義
そもそも、DVとはどういう事なのか？
ドメスティック（ｄｏｍｅｓｔｉｃ）とは「家庭内の」という意味でバイオレンス（ｖｉｏｌｅｎｃｅ）は暴力だ。
直訳すると「家庭内暴力」だが、自称ＤＶ（ドメスティックバイオレンス）被害者救済活動家などが言うＤＶ（ドメスティックバイオレンス）は別の意味で使われる。
一般に使われている「ドメスティック・バイオレンス」や「ＤＶ」は法令で明確に定義されておらず、内閣府による下記の解説がある。
《内閣府による解説》
「ドメスティック・バイオレンス」とは英語の「domestic violence」をカタカナで表記したものです。略して「ＤＶ」と呼ばれることもあります。
「ドメスティック・バイオレンス」とは何を意味するかについて、明確な定義はありませんが一般的には「夫や恋人など親密な関係にある又はあった男性から女性に対して振るわれる暴力」という意味で使用されることが多いようです。
ただ、人によっては、親子間の暴力などまで含めた意味で使っている場合もあります。
内閣府では、人によって異なった意味に受け取られるおそれがある「ドメスティック・バイオレンス（ＤＶ）」という言葉は正式には使わず「配偶者からの暴力」、「夫（妻）・パートナーからの暴力」などという言葉を使っています。
どんな内容があるか？
「バカがうつる」と妻に自宅を追い出され、別居しながら養育費を支払う男性や、「稼ぎが悪い」と妻に罵られ、蹴られるなどの暴力を2年受け続けた男性が取り上げられた。この男性は、その後、2年越しの裁判を経て離婚が成立したという。
男性の場合、被害を他人に相談しないケースが多く、被害が明らかになりにくい現実があるという。記事では、被害を受けた男性が「プライドが邪魔をして、相談もできない」と話していた。
世間の認知
ドメスティック・バイオレンスという言葉が日本の社会で一般的に認知されるようになったのは、二一世紀初頭当たりからだ。
ドメスティック・バイオレンスという言葉が流行りだすと、専門家を装う人や訳知り顔の人がやたらと増えた。書店や図書館でも、ドメスティック・バイオレンス関連の本が非常に多い。デートＤＶについても同様だ。
しかし、「この人たちが本当にＤＶ運動をしてきたのだろうか」と疑問に思われる人たちも少なくない。どう考えてもそんなに多くの人がＤＶ運動に古くから関わってきたとも思えないし、そんなに詳しいとも思えない。社会派の顔をしているが、実は何もしていない輩が少なくない。テレビや新聞などのメディアなどの大衆に伝達する極めて有効な手段を擁していながら、今まで一体何をしてきたというのだろうか。
例え便乗であり個人的な功名心があるにせよ、ＤＶ（ドメスティックバイオレンス）活動を啓蒙するのはよい事だという考え方があるかもしれない。
しかし、弱者を守るものとしてこの様な関連事件が明るみに出る一方、本来であれば話し合ったり、一族を巻き込んだりして、頭を悩ませながら成長する機会が失われ、離婚率の増加に貢献してしまっているのではないかと懸念されるところでもある。
