IQが低い子どもは偏見を持つ大人になる！？育て方次第で差別的、非人道的な言葉を発する可能性も
子どものIQは親にとっても気になるところ。生まれたときは元気に育ってくれさえすればそれだけでいい、と思うが今の時代、子どもも元気なだけで生き抜くは大変なことである。さっそくIQが低い子どもは大人になるとネトウヨになって人種差別に向かうというニュースについて調べてみた。
IQが低い子どもは、偏見を持つ大人になる可能性が高い
・イギリスに生まれた2種類の人たちを対象
・1つは1958年3月に生まれた人々ともう1つは1970年4月に生まれた人々
・誕生以来、継続して調査
・研究対象となった人々が10歳または11歳の時に知能指数の確認
・30歳または33歳の大人になった時に社会的な保守主義および人種差別主義の度合いを調べた
最初の研究では、単語や形、記号などの似ている点、
違う点を見つけるテストなどを利用し、言語的および非言語的知能をはかった。
2つ目の研究では、数字の記憶、図形の描写、単語の定義付け、
同一パターンや似ている単語を見つけるなどを含め、
4種類の方法で認知能力をはかった。平均IQは100と設定された。
その後、「学校は子供たちに権威への忠誠を教えるべきである」
「他の人種の人たちと一緒に働いてもかまわない」など、
あらゆる状況や差別的な内容に関する多数の質問への回答で分析された。
その結果、子供時代に知能の低かった人は、
大人になった時に人種差別主義的になるという結果になった。
IQが低い子どもはネトウヨになる？
ネトウヨ（正式名称はネット右翼）とは、インターネット上で右翼的な発言をする人物のこと。
他集団との接触の少ない人が右翼権威主義を受け入れやすい。
また、認知能力の低い人々は、 他の人種の人々と接した機会の少ない人たちでもあった。
この結果でたくさんの人種の人々と触れ合うことは子どもにとっては重要だ。
日本は先進国の中でも、差別的な行為に関する法整備が
遅れている。にもかかわらず特定の人種や民族への差別をあおるヘイトスピーチを禁止する 「人種差別撤廃施策推進法案」の採決は見送られた。
現代の子供たちはネット環境が当たり前になっており、日常のSNSでのイジメなども社会問題となっている。イジメ問題の場合は多くの集団、例えば学校以外の習いごとやクラブなどにかかわると精神的にもよいとされる。
IQ以前にまず親が偏見という枠を外して、たくさんの人々との触れ合いの場を子どもに与えることが重要である。
