大赤字のマックが190店を続々閉鎖。業績低迷つづくも、株価は堅調

日本マクドナルドホールディングスの業績悪化で、マックファンが一番心配しているのは2015年内に131の不採算店が閉鎖されること。フランチャイズ契約満了などによる閉店も59店あり合計で190店舗が無くなる。

早期退職者募集や役員報酬のカットも

   日本マクドナルドホールディングスの既存店売上高は、現在14か月連続で前年実績を下回っている。2015年3月は同29.3％減、客数も同23.5％減と下げ止まらない。15年12月期の業績予想では、連結当期純損益が380億円の赤字になると15年4月16日に発表した。前期の14年12月期は218億円の赤字で、さらに業績が悪化する、というものだった。

   マックの業績悪化については14年7月に起きた中国の工場での期限切れ鶏肉の使用や、相次いだ商品への異物混入などで家族連れ離れが起きたことや、値上げ、全面禁煙、メニューを無くすなど運営が迷走し多くのファンを失ったことなどが挙げられる。大幅な赤字予想を受け、同社は100人の早期退職者募集や役員報酬のカット、不採算店舗の閉鎖などを実施する。

株価、買い戻しが進む

　同社は業績低迷が続いているが、株価面では既にかなり織り込みが進んでいるようだ。月に２０～３０店ピッチで不採算店舗の閉鎖を加速させる可能性も浮上し、リストラに本腰を入れていることが買い手掛かりとなっている。さらに、信用倍率０．２３倍と信用取組が大幅に売り長であることも買い戻しを誘発している大きな要因だ。

株価は５日移動平均線を絡め急速に上値を追い、１８日の高値３０３５円を上回り、年初来高値を更新した。１０月中旬には２６００円台で推移していた株価は、既に３０００円台に乗せている。

マックファンは、閉鎖店が心配

マックファンが一番心配しているのは閉鎖されるのはどの店舗になるのか、ということらしい。

　マックの不採算店は年内に131店舗が閉鎖される。フランチャイズ契約満了などの店舗を含めれば合計で190店舗の閉鎖となる。大きな町に住む人にとっては駅前などに複数のマックがあるのでいいが、地方や郊外に住む人にとってマックはコミュニティーの場所になっているため、心配の声がネット上にあがっている。

「近所のマックも店じまいしたなあ。田舎の店舗は相当潰れそうだな」

「苦しいのはわかってたけど切ないなぁ。地元の1店が無くならないことを祈る」

「リスト出してくれよ。使ってる店が突然消えられても困る」

「うちの近くは存続して欲しい。大事な憩いの場」

などだ。

マック広報、「動揺を与えるので公表できない」

閉鎖されるのはどの店舗なのか。日本マクドナルドホールディングスの広報は、

「閉店する店舗についての問い合わせは多いのですが、一切公表しておりません」

とのこと。例えばビルのテナントとして入っていたり、地方にある店舗だったりした場合に関しては、契約や地元との関係上で公表してしまうと動揺を与えてしまう、というのが理由だ。今回の131店舗を閉店するための一時的な費用は40億円で、閉店することによって年間24億円が改善されるという。出店は年内に10～20店舗と抑え、その代わりに既存店の改装を行っていく。現在の店舗数は約3100店舗だが、モダンで快適な空間となっている店は25％しかない。年内に500店舗のリニューアルを行い18年度までに全体の90％の店舗をモダンで快適な空間に変えるという。経営の再建はこの店舗形態の改良から始まるようだ。
