松本人志も１０億円を寄付？！「尼崎城」天守閣再現へ　ミドリ電化創業者、寄贈打診

江戸期築城の「尼崎城」の天守閣を、当時と同規模程度で再現するプロジェクトが動き始めた。家電量販店の旧ミドリ電化（現エディオン）創業者の安保（あぼ）詮（あきら）さん（８２）＝西宮市＝が、１０億円以上の私産を投じて天守閣を建設し、尼崎市に寄贈することを打診。市有地の利用などについて、協定を結んでいる。

　安保さんは朝来市出身。１９５９年に尼崎市内で旧ミドリ電化の前身となる「みどり電気」を創設した。ゆかりの地に恩返しがしたいと、天守閣の再現を市に申し出た。

安保さんは「エレベーターを設置して、多くの人が見学しやすい資料館のような場所にしてほしい」。協定書を交わした稲村和美市長は「来年は市制１００周年、２０１８年には尼崎城築４００年を迎える。寄贈後は、市民に末永く愛される街のシンボルになるよう大切にしたい」と話している。

 消滅した尼崎城

　尼崎城は江戸時代初期、現在の阪神尼崎駅南東部に建てられた平城。尼崎藩主戸田氏鉄（うじかね）が４層の天守閣（幅約１９メートル、奥行き約１５メートル、高さ約２５メートル）を築いたとされ、当時の図面では、城の敷地は約１３万４千平方メートルと甲子園球場の３・４倍に及んだという。しかし、１８７３（明治６）年の廃城令で取り壊された。

　“新天守閣”の建設地は、当時の場所から北西約３００メートルにある市有地の「尼崎城址（し）公園」内を予定。来年ごろには着工したい考えで、今後、専門家の意見や資料に基づいて計画を進め、大きさについても景観との兼ね合いを考慮しながら決定していく。関係者によると、費用は「最低でも１０億円」が見込まれるという。

ダウンタウンの松本人志も注目

　同郷である、お笑い芸人ダウンタウンの松本人志は、自身の故郷であるこのニュースを、ワイドナショーの番組内で取り上げたかったと話していた。ここは、地元の英雄として、名を残す絶好の機会。是非、安保氏と二人で尼崎城再建に臨んでほしいと思う。
